Performance: Vilde Tuv
Bergen Art Book Fair is a big fan of the one-woman-band of Vilde Tuv and her mesmerizing new album 'Melting Songs' (2021). With synths and the "cursed" recorder (that many Norwegian children have to learn at a young age) she makes eerie, almost new-age, fantasy-movie-from-the-80s soundscapes! We are so happy to have Vilde Tuv with us to celebrate our opening day!

Artist Melanie Kitti and writer Priya Bains will read from the publication Støttehefte #2

Momentary Zine by Hackers and Designers (NL)
How does it work? You speak. It prints! With the help of speech to text technology the tool translates spoken word to text. Simultaneously an algorithm runs an automated image search, querying the spoken words and adding the images accordingly. The outcome: A printed publication!
The immediacy of the voice as the main content generator and the possibility of starting a dialogue with the technology serve as vehicle for participation – enabling conversations about unusual publishing methods and the (im)possibilities of automation processes.
You could just walk in anytime during the day and join the workshop!

Join artist Paul John in a photo zine workshop with your phone and get your image printed on risograph on the spot. Happy Rebellion by Homie House Press
The Happy Rebellion
What does a Happy Rebellion look like? Is it something between you and yourself, or is it all encompassing enough to hold all of us like the water? Does it start with your body and end in someone else's? Does it happen often or just once in a life time? What if you practice rebelling in a different way every day, just to see the many forms rebellion can take when it’s in your own hands? Can I nap for the rebellion? Can I dance for it too? What if it takes an unknown shape? In this workshop, Homie House considers different forms of The Happy Rebellion and how they are confined to the gravity we are all connected too. The take away will be a poster of your own creation.
