Through a conversation with Elise By Olsen, Geir Haraldseth will present a selection of titles from his personal collection of artist publications. The evening will focus on the activities of current British fashion magazines and the intersection of this sphere with that of the contemporary art world. Elise By Olsen will present her project, the International Library of Fashion Research, showing how her work placing various collection’s works in dialogue together and her experience working with collectors.

Geir Haraldseth

Curator and writer based in Oslo, Norway. He is currently co-curating a survey show of the contemporary art scene in Norway, which is the inaugural exhibition for the new National Museum in Norway opening in June 2022. He will also co-curate the Dutch Pavilion at the Venice Biennale featuring the work of Melanie Bonajo. Previous positions include director of Rogaland Kunstsenter, where he initiated an experimental summer school program and a library, and curator at the Academy of Fine Arts in Oslo.

Elise By Olsen

Starting her publishing practice as editor-in-chief at age 13, with her youth culture magazine Recens Paper, Elise By Olsen (b. 1999) has received international acclaim for rethinking traditional publishing and critical conversations within culture for a contemporary audience. For the past decade she has worked with brands and corporations such as Google Arts & Culture, TEDx, BBC, Business of Fashion, British Fashion Council, Facebook/Instagram and Prada. In 2018 Gucci produced a documentary about her work and in 2019 she guest-edited AnOther Magazine. She currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Wallet, a new publication dedicated to critical dialogue within the fashion- and media industry. In 2020 she founded International Library of Fashion Research, a specialized fashion library with extensive programming.
