Camilla Pavlikova Sandland

Camilla Pavlikova Sandland, born 1997, is a Norwegian screenwriter and author. She has previously studied literature at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (2018), the writing class at Johan Borup's Højskole (2018-2019) and dramatic writing at Biskops Arnö Folkhögskola (2020-2021). In June 2024 she graduated at the Norwegian Film school.
Over the past few years she has explored the intersection between text, photography and drama, and made her debut in 2019 with her novella «SIKKSAKK», published by Forlaget Korridor. This year she released her fourth and most personal publication; the photo book «Otrava!"
Otrava! Consists of analog photography - drawings, paintings, diary entries, short prose and newly written drama. Through the different formats, I wanted to dig into how a young girl with divorced parents relates to her background, what prerequisites one has to feel connected to one's family, and for being a mother and daughter. But first and foremost, the book is a rebellion against my own upbringing.
Otrava! Is slovak for an annoing child.
