The Press Press

Their focus is on queer publicatons and is run by visual artist Jo Ravn Abusland. The Press Press started in 2023 with a zine and posters for the first Trans Pride in Kristiansand.

FURU is their first artistbook, published in 2025. The book revolves around legal rights, with stories of some 500 year old protected pine trees that are marked to be taken down, a chair made from the relics of the old city pine, and how the pine tree, in Kristiansand's coat of armour, transitioned from a spruce to a pine.

The Press press has over the last  years added  a risograph and various old mimeographs to their diy-printing studio. The Press Press collaborates with Poster Joy – a nomadic queer artist culture network for Norway/Sápmi (established in 2025) wich focuses on building community through analog poster production and distribution.
