Sayo Senoo

Sayo Senoo is a multidisciplinary artist born in Japan, based in France. Her work begins with salvaging waste on the street and anonymous photos found online. She manually transforms these found objects to make them visually appealing, and places them in a context different from their original one. Through laughter, poetry and art, she aims to question blind fear and aversion, along with a multifaceted perspective.

She started self-publishing activity in 2019 to document her ephemeral works and as a medium itself. She handcrafts all the publications and limited-edition items herself. She has participated in various art book fairs, including  Paris Ass Book Fair, Miss Read Berlin, I Never Read Basel Art Book Fair, Sprint Milano Art Book Fair, Libros Mutantes Madrid Art Book Fair.
