Sonnenzimmer

Sonnenzimmer is the Chicago-based collaborative practice of artists Nick Butcher & Nadine Nakanishi. Since 2006, our experimental practice has explored the elastic edge of the graphic arts through publications, exhibitions, performances, music, and more. We view graphics as a fluid social membrane that allows humanity to think together beyond the individual. Graphics are an augmented collective reality that each of us lay claim to. Our work seeks to explore, illuminate, and make sense of this space.
