ABC [Artists' Books Cooperative]

ABC [Artists’ Books Cooperative] is an international group of artists who experiment with the form of the book, and promote alternative forms of distribution through collaboration. Alongside individual practices, we work together on collective projects — a museum made entirely of publications, an amorphous office space, a rubber stamped exploration of chance and coexistence.

The cooperative has run since 2009, with members coming and going (and sometimes coming back again!) since then. When tabling fairs we sell a range of works from our artists, whether present or otherwise. Currently we are made up of 23 members: Arnaud Desjardin, Elsa Werth, Claudia de la Torre, David Schulz, Duncan Wooldridge, George Gibson, John MacLean, Jonathan Lewis, Jonathan Schmidt-Ott, Louis Porter, MacDonaldStrand, Micheál O’Connell/MOCKSIM, Mishka Henner, Monika Orpik, Oliver Griffin, Rahel Zoller, Travis Shaffer, Elsa Werth, Jessica Williams, Hwang Eunyoung, Wil van Iersel, Karla Zorrilla, and Lucy Helton.
